As our George Curry Tournament got rained off it has been re-scheduled to play this tournament on May 30th. An amazing line up for the day as the President of the GAA in Ireland along with one of the best GAA players ever, Peter Canavan, will be present. Teams from Toronto, Brampton and Ottawa will be participating. Surely a great day to take the George Curry Trophy home in front of the President!

Our U-10, U-12, U-14, U-16 teams will all be playing. We need our full squad out to represent the Shamrocks on this day! Let your coach know you will be there!

Now that we have had a day to dry off and warm up I truly hope that all the mothers out there had a great Mothers Day!

Saturday at the George Curry Tournament I witnessed the Durham Shamrocks at their finest! As mother nature was determined to show us her wrath, the Durham Shamrocks were committed to sheer will and determination. Once again this incredible group of Coaches, Players Parents and supporters showed up to enjoy of day of football. As Toronto was also up for the challenge we together enjoyed a very fun filled day of sport and enthusiasm.

Wow this evening saw the end of our 2008 Fall/Winter indoor season. As we gear up for the upcoming spring outdoor session let me recall some of our spectacular moments.

We started in the fall with an excited, eager group of kids and their spirit and determination was simply awesome. As the weekly practices continued it was clear that the Durham Shamrocks were coming together as a team. The U8 team were focused very hard on learning the rules and putting them together as was our U10 group team. I must say what Joy it is to watch these group of kids work very hard to master Gaelic Football. Our U14 and U16 Teams are really working together and have come together to play and succeed as a team.
