Thank you again for the overwhelming response and interest in our Gaelic Football for Kids sessions. We hope you will all enjoy yourselves and learn about the wonderful sport that is Gaelic Football.
Registration
Going forward, when you arrive at the Salem Soccer Centre you'll have to 'SIGN IN' your child. If their name is on the list, they will receive a color coded name tag that will allow them to play in their designated time slot only. If they are not on this list you will be asked if you'd like to standby to see if we reach our daily limit.
If we do not reach our daily limit our administrator will allocate daily spots on a first come first serve basis. No child will be allowed on the pitch without a name tag.
Playing Gear
Each kid registered in our program will receive their playing gear at the last session May 10th.
What’s on?
We have a lot planned for the kids of Durham this year!
May 17th
The week after we finish our Indoor program, May 17th, we will be hosting our Annual George Curry Tournament. Our tournament will involve the kids participating in the morning from 9am and then a Senior Mens/Ladies tournament from midday. We have had a very successful tournament last year but we hope it will be even better this year!
May 24th
Next up, May 24th, there will be a kids’ tournament held at Centennial Park, Etobicoke. This tournament will involve players from Toronto, Durham, Brampton and Ottawa. It will be a special weekend as the President of the GAA in Ireland will be present, so it will give you an opportunity to showoff your skills and how great Gaelic Football is in Canada!
Preliminary tournament rounds will be played with the semi-finals and final. Food will be provided on the day. Afterwards, there will be an awards presentation held in Brampton Irish Centre with any proceeds raised going to the Continental Youth Championships fund.
It won’t be too long after that then we will be back with our Outdoor Program!
It will begin in June and run for five weeks which will lead up to the Continental Youth Championships in July.
