From Pat Guerin of the NY Minor Board

It is with great excitement and anticipation the New York Minor Board is announcing that it will be hosting the 2010 Continental Youth Championships from July 29th through August 1st at Eisenhower Park. As many of you know, this tournament style Championship will bring over 1,500 elite players from across the nation, plus teams from Canada, Ireland, and England to the Long Island area to compete in Gaelic Games.  It is expected to be the largest gathering for this event since its inception with over 250 matches expected to be played over the 4 day period.

Unlike the past the Games are scheduled to be over 4 days with a Parade on the 29th, in the town of Rockville Center commencing at 7:00P.M., with all of the participants taking part. Also, the Mineola Irish Center will hold their Annual Irish Night Concert on the Sunday at the conclusion of our games at the Harry Chapman Lakeside Theater in Eisenhower Park. This is just one of the many activities that will be surrounding our NY CYC Games.

Note: We will have games scheduled beginning on Thursday 29th so we will need to be in New York for Wednesday.
